Jeff, Ali, & Max Loomis
During my studies at the "Harvard of the West Coast" aka University of Oregon, I did a study abroad in France. After blowing my Pell Grant money on a bottle of Dom at Fouquets, I lived with a French family in a small village outside Avignon. I rode my bike to school everyday and eventually took a detour to this place known as “New House of the Pope” - the magical Chateauneuf de Pape. I spent a few francs on a jug of wine and my world changed. Until then, I had chugged the prerequuiste Blue Nun and Mateus college swill. Two words - Asti Spumante. This jug was my first experience with real wine. It was truly a revelation.
Decades later, I walked the 60 acres of raw Napa land I had just purchased. I told myself if I ever did "the wine thing" it would be Rhones. I found a rocky hillside cap - this would be my Petit Hermitage for the Syrah block. Cool spots at lower elevation - Viognier and so on. I would recreate that first wine experience in Napa.
I’m a advertising guy - Mad Man - sure. I love the creative and artistic side of the business. Ali is more technical - an SEO specialist with an amazing talent for prose. Max is a musician - a brilliant combination of wicked wit and common sense. The 3 of us are a very close family unit and I could not love them more. We spent many years traveling the world to experience and appreciate different cultures and consider ourselves world citizens. We are proud of the wine we produce and hope you taste the love and care we put into it.
